Warzone players call for changes to frustrating Solos matches
Sniping is one of the most effective ways to win games of Call of Duty: Warzone, so we’ve put together the best Warzone sniper loadouts you need to dominate long-range engagements in Season 3.
As Warzone players are getting better at battle royale games, they’ve begun to realize that running at teams for close-range fights isn’t necessarily the best strategy to win. Almost every squad has a sniper on their team, and most fights are now decided at range.
We’ve put together the best sniper loadouts, secondaries, and perks you can use to give you the edge when fighting at range in Season 3.
Best Warzone Sniper Rifle loadouts
HDR: Best long-range sniping class
For extreme long-range sniping, there’s no better option than the HDR.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Stock: FTAC Stalker-Scout
- Ammunition: 7 Round Mags
As the HDR is a Modern Warfare Sniper Rifle, it’s considerably heavier than the other weapons on this list. You won’t be quick-scoping players up-close, but from far away, you’ll be unstoppable.
The HDR packs punch even with body shots, and has insanely fast bullet travel time, allowing you to click on enemies’ heads.
LW3 – Tundra: Best medium-range sniping class
Black Ops Cold War’s Tundra is incredibly is popular for its incredible bullet velocity. With the right attachments, you’ll hardly need to adjust your aim to hit far-off or moving targets.
- Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor
- Barrel: 29.1″ Combat Recon
- Optic: Royal & Cross 4x
- Stock: SAS Combat Stock
- Ammunition: 7 Rnd
As the Royal & Cross 4x is technically an ACOG scope, it does not glint, and its magnification is only slightly lower than Modern Warfare’s standard Sniper Scope. You can take your time to line up a headshot without revealing your location, and you can quickly reposition in fights with the lack of glint, keeping enemies guessing.
While not being as powerful at range as the HDR, it’s perfect for medium-range engagements in Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island and earns its spot in the best Warzone Sniper Rifle loadouts.
Swiss K31: Best close-range sniping class
Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 3 added the Swiss K31 to the game – a Sniper Rifle designed for quickscoping.
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 24.9″ Combat Recon
- Ammunition: 7 Rnd
- Rear Grip: Raider Stock
- Stock: Serpent Wrap
Quickscoping is almost as old as Call of Duty itself, being the source of thousands of montage videos and the launchpad for some of gaming’s biggest brands such as OpTic and FaZe.
With the Swiss K31, you can take quickscoping into Warzone. With a fast ADS speed and bolt time, the K31 is a fun and effective weapon to push players at close-medium range. It doesn’t have the same range potential as the Kar98k, but pair it with an all-rounder Assault Rifle such as the M4A1 for a fun and off-meta loadout.
Kar98k: Best all-round sniping class
You’ll see many competitive players run the Kar98k, and for good reason. It’s arguably the best sniper on the list, being an all-rounder suited for almost any situation Warzone throws at you.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: Sniper Scope
- Stock: FTAC Sport Comb
With these attachments, the Kar98k will have an incredibly fast ADS time, allowing you to use it even in close-medium range situations. If a player is mounted on a head glitch, you can peak with the Kar for a quick and easy headshot.
It’s also strong at long range, but you’ll need to learn the bullet travel time and drop, as its velocity is lower than the others on this list. However, if you want a quick and powerful Sniper Rifle for any situation, you can’t go wrong with the Kar98k.
Best secondary weapons for Warzone sniping
MAC-10: Close range
If you like to get up-close and personal for your fights, the MAC-10 is the secondary weapon for you. Begin a fight with a well-placed headshot from the Kar98k or Tundra, then push up with your MAC-10 in hand for quick clean-up.
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 5.9″ Task Force
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Underbarrel: Patrol Grip
- Ammunition: STANAG 53 Rnd Drum
RAM-7: Medium range
For something to run alongside your sniper that will excel at medium range, the RAM-7 has climbed to the top of the pack in Season 3. You’ll struggle to use it at long range, but for following up on body shots or fighting multiple enemies at once, the RAM-7 is a great choice.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FORGE TAC Eclipse
- Optic: Corp Combat Holo Sight
- Grip: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 50 Round Mags
Grau 5.56: All-rounder
Being a strong choice since Warzone’s launch in March 2020, the Grau 5.56 is favored for its non-existent recoil and cleanest iron sight in the game. It doesn’t hit as hard as some of the other Assault Rifles, but it can be used at any range with pinpoint accuracy.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
Best perks for Warzone sniping
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Overkill then Ghost
- Perk 3: Amped
Snipers need to be moving fast to get the drop on their enemies and to stay unpredictable.
Double Time allows you to Tactical Sprint for longer and increases your crouch-walk movement speed. This allows you to quickly maneuver between cover and strafe shoot to be a hard target.
Snipers need a strong secondary weapon, and the Overkill perk allows you to take two primary weapons into the game. From your first loadout, you can get everything you need for the game ahead.
Then from your next loadout, you should take the Ghost perk. Pick up the weapons from your first loadout, and you’ll be hidden from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.
With two primary weapons in hand, you’ll need to swap between them quickly. Whether you’ve been ambushed or you quickly need to follow up on a body shot with your sniper, the Amped perk will make weapons swap instantly.
Pair these Sniper Rifles, secondary weapons, and perks, and you’ll be able to dominate opponents at all ranges in Season 3 with the best Warzone Sniper Rifle loadouts.
